We are delighted and honoured to welcome Chloe Cheese to B.i.G. on 30th September.
Chloe trained at Cambridge School of Art and the Royal College of Art. She works mainly as an illustrator and printmaker, and her distinctive style has been an influential force in the world of graphic illustration. In 1985 the British Council organised a Touring Exhibition entitled "British Illustrators from Caxton to Chloe".
She has exhibited worldwide (recently showing alongside the work of her father Bernard at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne - see Jo’s B.i.G. blog post 8.7.10), and her work is held in the collections of the V&A and the Arts Council.
Clients include The Sunday Times, Terence Conran at Habitat and Commes Des Garcons – Japan.
Amongst published work are the children’s books “Walking on the Bridge of Your Nose” a poetry collection by former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen and “The Babies are Coming!” by Amy Hest.
Meeting at Castor and Pollux 165 King's Rd Arches, Lower Prom Brighton BN1 8pm Sep 30th.
