BlogSave Brighton Arthouse

All the adult arts and design evening and Saturday classes at the University of Brighton will be closed at the end of this year. The courses being shut down include photography, printmaking, bookbinding, ceramics, silversmithing, illustration, life drawing, carpentry, fashion, web design and so on.
Many redundancy notices have already been sent out and the University is effectively abandoning Adult Arts Education for a city that is supposed to be a city of culture. There is a campaign to save them. Their website is www.savebrightonarthouse.org with lots more information on the campaign and in the short week we have been running had many letters of support. Please write to the University to prevent this happening. There is also online petition at www.savebrightonarthouse.org/petition-to-save-brighton-arthouse/.
